Poseidon Pools is a long-time dream come to fruition. Our team comprises three pool industry experts with 50 years of combined experience designing, building, and servicing swimming pools. We have a passion for bringing our designs to life and a commitment to providing the highest quality of experience every step of the way.
Homer Elam excelled for over ten years in commercial construction. He was introduced to the gunite pool industry in 2005 after Hurricane Katrina demolished much of the greater New Orleans metro area. He gained intricate knowledge of how to renovate and operate the complex materials and equipment involved in gunite swimming pools. He quickly transcended into custom design and installation and finally was positioned as a project manager/superintendent of upwards of 40 pool builds at a time.
Homer’s wife, Aimee Elam, grew up in the pool-building industry and started designing pools in 2005 using 3D design computer software (Pool Studios). She quickly became a leading designer in the industry, selling $1 million in pool sales in her first year. She was able to consistently reach and/or exceed her $1 million sales goal year after year. She has since won several national design awards and continues to excel in providing unique designs expertly tailored to her client's wants and needs.
Dustin Ducote has teamed up with his childhood friend Homer Elam, who has extensive construction experience, specifically in the gunite pool industry. Dustan has owned a successful pool service company for 14 years and has been able to master all aspects of construction, maintenance, and service for gunite pools. Before that, he was a project manager for almost 18 years for an electrical and commercial construction company.
